School Program Guidelines

Teachers and chaperones are responsible for the discipline of students at all times. Students are expected to observe good museum manners when visiting MOA: following directions, listening when appropriate, staying with the group, no running or other rowdy behavior. Teachers and chaperones are required to stay with the students at all times. Teachers, please make sure your chaperones know what is required of them.

Be on time.
Your program will start promptly at your scheduled time. If you are late, it may be necessary to shorten your program. If your arrival will be delayed, please call the Museum at 336.758.5282. If you must cancel your program, please notify the Museum as early as possible.

No food, drinks, or gum is permitted in the Museum.
There is a picnic table available outside the Museum, and a grassy area nearby for picnicking. Food service is also available at several campus locations or restaurants close to the University.

No smoking.
The Museum is a non-smoking facility.

Photography is allowed in the Museum.
Photography without a flash is permitted in certain galleries in the Museum. If you would like to photograph your students in the classroom setting, please consult with the Museum Educator about a proper time to do this.
